Brereton is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of Cheshire East

Brereton is a picturesque rural community in the heart of Cheshire East and is home to just over 1000 residents. Brereton Parish, also known as Brereton-cum-Smethwick is made up of several smaller communities, these are: Brereton Green, Brereton Park, Brereton Heath, Bagmere, Bluebell Green, Brindley Green, Brownedge, Hazelshawe, Illidge Green, Medhurst Green, Sandlow Green and Smethwick. Whilst Brereton is predominately a farming community and has limited facilities, it is in easy reach of its bordering historic market towns of Sandbach, Congleton and Holmes Chapel. To this day, Brereton remains a vibrant, proactive community in which its resident’s love to live. It is home to an unique nature reserve, the much loved St. Oswald’s Church, The Bears Head pub (which dates back to 1625) and an abundance of peaceful walks.
